Hydro jetting is a great alternative to snaking a sewer line. Hydro jetting is the process of clearing sewer drain pipes of Debris using a highly pressurized stream of water. This water is shot through a specialized nozzle capable of breaking through clogged debris and removing it from the drain pipes.
With enough pressure to remove even tree roots from clogged lines, the Hydro Jetter is adjustable so that it can adapt to various types of clogs. Not all clogs require Hydro Jetting so we use a drain camera to pinpoint the problem and determine the best course of action to fully remove the clog.
While using a snake to clear drains can be effective in some cases, it is no match against clogs made by grease, tree roots and water deposits on the walls of the pipes. When grease clogs drains, it has the consistency of pudding. A snake Will poke a small hole in the grease but the majority remains. This is a short-term solution as the drain will typically clog again within 6 months and will need to be snaked again. A Hydro Jetter, on the other hand, will obliterate the clogged lines and clear your plumbing lines of buildup on the walls of the pipes.
